Meet Sarah
Hi there! I hope my words and stories encourage and point you to Jesus.
My husband and I have four kids: a high schooler, a middle schooler, a kiddo in elementary school, and a toddler. It’s chaotic in all the best ways in our little Nichols’ Nest.
We felt God calling our family to a new place a few years ago. We took a step of faith and moved to a new state with no job or home and only a handful of paychecks left from the military as my husband transitioned out of the Air Force.
I naively thought God was calling us to this new place to do a work in others. It was about him doing a work in me — deep work. This transition went differently than we thought it would. Everything that could go wrong did. I began to feel lost in my new season.
In motherhood, the past, comparison, insecurities, and relationships. But in this season of feeling overwhelmed and lost, I learned to lean into grace and let go of ideals. Don’t we all need a little more of that? It’s easy to focus on the areas we feel like we are failing, especially as women.
I’m not sure what season life has you in right now, but sometimes we need a reminder that God has always been a Redeemer and in the business of restoring.
It’s okay to need a reminder. It doesn’t mean we lack faith; it means we are human.
Do you ever need a reminder that God is with you even when you feel like you’re failing?
